Stephen Shults clubbed two home runs and drove in six runs, while Tim
Holmes won his first professional game, as the Freedom defeated the
Evansville Otters 10-6 on Thursday night at Bosse Field in Evansville,
Indiana.
Holmes went six innings, walking three and fanning eight to secure
the win. Will Palmer, Shivers, newcomer Julian Arballo, and Jacinto
Gonell finished up. Arballo threw one pitch in his Freedom debut.
The series and the brief road trip end on Thursday night with the
series finale. Andy Clark will oppose Evansville's Jorge Lugo in the
finale. First pitch is slated for 7:35 p.m.
NOTES: With the victory, Florence climbs out of the cellar ... In just 17 games, Shults leads the team with seven homers and 20 RBIs ...

FLORENCE - The
Florence Freedom are proud to announce the
first concert in their 2010 Miller Lite Summer Concert Series.
Legendary
classic rock band Styx will perform Saturday, September 4, 2010.
Prior to the Styx
performance, ticket holders can attend 'Freedom
Fest' featuring great
local bands playing on the stadium concourse
beginning at 6:00 p.m.. Playing your favorite 80's songs, the Rusty
Griswolds
will play for 75 minutes to cap off Freedom Fest. The Styx concert will
begin
from the field level stage shortly thereafter. Gates open for the event
at
5:30 pm.
Seating options
include premium Gold Circle seating in the infield
in front of the stage for $50.00. There are also Infield Floor seating
for
$39.50 and stadium reserved seating (sections 103-113) for $28.50.
These rates
includes sales tax and parking fees.
